Our tropical garden centre is a true oasis for lovers of exotic nature. Here you will find a rich variety of special plants, flowers and trees. Tropical Gardeners and Large Project Realization
Our gardeners are specialized in realizing the most spectacular tropical projects. No challenge is too big for us: we work on unique theme settings for amusement parks, design lifelike habitats for zoos and create impressive works of art such as artificial rocks, waterfalls and more. At Teeninga Palmen you can also rent plants. Import and Export of Tropical Plants
As one of the largest players in the international trade of tropical plants, we have an extensive network and years of expertise. Teeninga Palmen was built on the belief that we should not only strive for success, but also to make a difference in the lives of others. Our mission goes beyond selling plants; we are committed to helping people in need, both locally and globally.
Joy Center, Uganda: Rescuing Children from the Streets
In Uganda we support the Joy Center , a shelter for children who would otherwise have to live on the streets. These children, often orphaned or abandoned, have often had traumatic experiences and live under the most miserable conditions. Through the collaboration with Stichting De Geopende Deur (Come Alive) they have already:
- 83 children rescued from the streets: Each of these children now has a safe place to live.
- Access to education given: We provide them with an education that prepares them for a hopeful future.
- Daily meals provided: No child is left without the care and support they need
- Provided a loving environment: They receive the attention, care and love that every child deserves.
But our mission does not stop in Uganda.
Projects in Kenya and Pakistan
We also support shelters and schools in Kenya and Pakistan. Here we create safe environments where children can learn, play and grow. The goal is to not only give these children a better future, but also to make them feel valuable.

Together with Zorgbureau Amannij we offer a safe place for day care and reintegration. This program is focused on:

Help for Young People in Smallingerland
In our local community we have been committed to young people in Smallingerland for years. Many of them come from challenging situations, such as a history of drug use or lack of structure. At Teeninga Palmen they find:

- Beach pavilion : Taste delicious, locally prepared dishes, mostly made with ingredients from our own day care.

Teeninga Palmen did not just come into existence. Our company was built on a vision that was revealed by God to our owner, Gjalt Jan Teeninga. In this revelation it was said that we would get a large share of the market and that this blessing should be used to save lives.
