A plant with a nice pot enhances the atmosphere much more and becomes more beautiful than without one. Of course the pot should match the plant and location. The recommended diameter of a pot for this Yucca rostrata is 28 - 40 cm. This is not only an eye-pleasing proportion, but also makes caring for the plant more easy.

This plant should be watered regularly. During sunny periods, we recommend watering every day. During less sunny periods, we recommend once every 3 days, unless it has rained.
This plant should be placed in a spot where the sun shines a lot. The more sun it gets, the faster it grows, but it also needs more moisture.
Nutrition is very important for plants. We recommend providing this plant with good nutrient-rich soil by using high-quality Mediterranean potting soil. We also recommend adding extra nutrients through fertilizer tablets. This ensures the supply of all necessary nutrients. The plant will then also maintain its dark green leaf color.
Pruning a palm is simple. When a leaf starts to turn brown, the fairly thick stem should be cut close to the trunk with, for example, pruning shears. The palm will produce new shoots every year that grow into large fan leaves.
The Yucca rostrata truly creates a unique atmosphere in your garden or room, due to its very distinctive shape: a trunk surrounded by cut leaves from years ago, and a crown of long thin leaves that taper to a point.
The Yucca rostrata is a slow grower. That is why even the smaller sizes are quite expensive. If you are looking for a plant that doesn't get too large, the Yucca rostrata is a good choice.
Planting a Yucca is not much different from planting any other plant. Try to keep the root ball as undamaged as possible. Ensure that the root ball is surrounded by good nutrient soil. We recommend Florentus Mediterranean potting soil for this purpose. Make a hole in the soil or potting mix, deep enough for the root ball. Firm the soil around the root ball and fill in until there is no trench around the root ball.
The best way to sow Yucca is in a heated environment. This increases the chance of success. Fill a container with sowing and cutting soil; cactus soil is also possible, and place the seeds on the soil. You can sprinkle some grit or sand over them
Our plant sizes are determined by measuring the smallest plants up until the largest in a field with hundreds of plants. Because a plant is a natural product, it's possible a plant is a little smaller than the mentioned minimum size.
This deviation is 10cm maximum. In our guidelines we keep a margin of max. 10cm regarding the minimum size.
Note: when you order a plant that doesn't stay green in the winter, it's probably (when ordered during the winter months or the beginning spring season) smaller than the minimum size. This is not a problem in any case, because the plant will grow new branches or leaves and the minimum height will be reached within a short period. Your order will have the right size within a short time.
